DAY 1 SHRAVAN KUMMAR| DREAMZONE | JAYANTHI BALLAL| JAYA MISRA SHOWCASED AT THE ZINGBI MYSORE FASHION WEEK

Day 1 of the coveted Zingbi Mysore Fashion Week Season 5, started with a show by the amazing Hyderabad based designer and a true-blue fashionista himself, Shravan Kummar, with his show themed - ‘A Bygone Era’. The beautiful, ‘Ragini Dwivedi’ opened the show for him. The show featured a selection of Banarasi Sarees Woven by weavers. His show supports the cause ‘Save a Weaver’ an initiative taken by The Aalayam Society.

 

The Zingbi Mysore Fashion Week gave way to a dynamic setting for the designers to showcase their collections sheathed by sizzling models, climaxing with beautiful showstoppers. The spectators enjoyed a spread of culture, tradition and fresh innovation.

 

The next show for the day featured designs by the fresh minds of students of the Dream Zone Academy. It was great to see students pushing boundaries of the design and creativity. They worked with coral to create unique indo-western garments with variations towards sleeved and pockets in Khadi Silk. The silhouettes were chic and classy. The pieces were very wearable and represented elegance, style, and fashion from a different perspective. 

 

The Pre Finale show was a hit when Jayanthi Ballal, the founder of Mysore Fashion Week showcased her latest collection! Radhika Chetan, Nivedita Gowda looked elegant and stunning in the ensembles. The collection showcased a beautiful array of handloom Kanjivaram sarees, a specialty in southern states of India. The sarees 

 

The star-studded event was closed by beauties Rituparna Sengupta, Ihana Dhillon, who walked for the Kolkata based designer Jaya Misra. Her new collection “Navya” was a selection of fusion designs with a touch of intense colors. This boozy concoction of colors and designs emphasized that the collection will make each and every girl look gorgeous in their own way, and give them a newer mien. This modern collection ranged from the cocktail gown, saree, drape dhoti, and men’s wear, and revived the sophistication and allure with explorations of color.

The show was full of the magnificent and never-seen-before fortitude of fashion which left the audience wanting for more!
